Resilience
“A champion is defined not by their wins but by how they can recover when they fall.”

Something that is easily earned, has low value, something that is hard earned, holds a special meaning.
In karate, the ultimate goal for many is the achievement of a black belt. It is seen as reaching the very top of the sport, being a master, an expert.
Frequent social media posts might see people boast about themselves or their children earning a black belt in the shortest time or youngest age.
We are different.
Every member of our club that earns a black belt has done it through sustained effort and determination. No two black belts are the same. It matters not if a student is the next Bruce Lee or starting from a much lower point, every student will be supported in finding out how to push themselves to their own limit. This is the start of our resilience journey.
